Research shows brain injury may occur within one millisecond after head hits car windshield (Nov 27)
Research by a Sandia National Laboratories engineer and a University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center neurologist shows that brain injury may occur within one millisecond after a human head is thrust into a windshield as a result of a car accident.

Constraint-induced movement therapy is effective in rehabilitating brain injury patients (Nov 19)
Patients who receive constraint-induced movement therapy (CIMT) -- a rehabilitative technique that restrains the less-impaired arm -- show significant improvement in arm and hand function, according to a seven-center national study led by Emory University researchers.

New guidelines to treat behavior problems following traumatic brain injury (Nov 6)
A Guidelines Working Group reviewed the medical literature and concluded that, with some exceptions, the quality of the evidence was insufficient to support specific therapeutic standards but could be used to guide pharmacologic treatment recommendations.
