Working Toward Change with Those Slow to Recover
We believe that no matter how challenged an individual, his/her life has special significance and
meaning. With that philosophy of respect as our foundation, CNS has developed a long-term care program that helps clients live a positive, meaningful life while working toward change--no matter how small.
The CNS Slow to Recover Program addresses the very real needs of recently injured
persons such as those in Persistent Vegetative State, or those who have had rehabilitation but cannot return to an active life.
In addition to skilled nursing care, the CNS Slow to Recover Program includes a spectrum
of therapies specifically tailored to each individual's level of functioning. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, recreational activities, range of motion and specialized splinting are integrated, when required, into the client's program of care.
To maintain optimum health, programs for bowel and bladder care, skin care and oral hygiene are an important part of the client's daily routine. And our consulting physicians provide the clinical evaluation and treatment necessary to avoid the frequent hospitalizations that can often accompany long-term disability.
The CNS Slow To Recover Program provides a high level of attentive, individualized care
and is frequently less expensive than other similar programs.
With an exceptional staff, a warm, positive environment, and an attitude of respect and compassion, clients come to know that they occupy a place of importance at CNS.
