Frequently Asked Questions About TBI Rehab at CNS

Who watches and takes care of my family member when he or she is at CNS?

Many family members are concerned about a brain-injured family member who is ambulatory but is still confused and showing poor safety judgment. The agitated client who may try to escape or avoid difficult tasks, or the unaware client who "wanders-off" is always a concern.

For this reason, the CNS program is designed to fully monitor client's who exhibit these difficulties. Safety is vital, so 24 hour supervision is provided. During clinic hours, the client is provided with individually tailored therapy sessions. During non-clinic hours, the client is assisted and monitored by a rehabilitation assistant. As the client's cognition and behavior improves, the supervision is gradually decreased and carefully monitored.
