Caregiving and TBI

Caring for someone who has endured a brain injury takes remarkable compassion and steadfast patience. CNS understands that the journey of the caregiver has moments of joy and days when that patience is tried. We care deeply about the patient's family, and we know - and have experienced - their challenges. To ease the transition home, CNS has a wealth of support and resources that help families navigate the future.

Emotions, stress, new family dynamics, financial issues - all these realities challenge caregivers. CNS offers hope and education about brain injury that foster unity and provides a roadmap for self-care moving forward. With family and individual counseling, people in the patient's circle of support can learn new coping skills. Staff can also develop strategies specific to the patient's injury and needs, and share those observations with caregivers.
